To craft/To remember II II, 2014. Installation. Dimensions and objects variable.
As a cabinet or shelf where things reside in a certain order, this pictorial installation is rooted in a certain mnemonic material or anamnesis. Each and every one of these alignments of pieces in its own way stage a certain mental structure reconstructing odd possibilities between matter, memory as syntax combinations.
Handmade objects thus, derives from a word and in the end, in a Borgian way (magic comes from words and words animate things) the whole installation stands for a sort of spell (or even a enumeration of words in line, or joined by lines). This juxtaposition of things brings words close to each other and, -as with magical symphatetical-thinking trough contact, there comes the transfer of features. It is perhaps a cognitive mapping, a struggle against some form of dementia and forgetfulness.
